My name is Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, and I’m a student at We Study.
Before I joined We Study, I found English really difficult. I barely knew the basics and had no idea where to start. Sometimes I thought English just wasn’t for me and that I’d never be good at it.
But after nine months at We Study, the way I feel about English has changed a lot.
From the start, my teachers put together a detailed learning plan that suited my level. We began with the basics, much as we do when learning Vietnamese: the alphabet, pronunciation, blending sounds and syllables, then parts of speech and how to use them in simple sentences. Once I had that foundation, I went on to learn the 12 English tenses and gradually started using compound and complex sentences to express my ideas more fully.
Learning step by step helped me see that English wasn’t as difficult as I’d thought. You don’t have to be good at it from the start. What matters most is patience, effort and determination. When you keep trying, learning and making a little progress each day, things that once seemed difficult gradually become easier.
I believe English isn’t just for people who are already good at it. Anyone can learn, as long as they have an approach that works for them and don’t give up.
The course itself has helped me improve, but so have the teachers’ care, dedication and friendliness. They pay close attention to each student’s learning and help us see where the gaps are and what we need to work on. With their support, I’ve gradually rebuilt my foundation in English.
I also feel that We Study doesn’t use the same learning plan for everyone. We all have different strengths, weaknesses and levels of knowledge. Some students need to start again with the basics; others just have a few important gaps. The centre tries to create a plan that suits each student, so we can make progress at our own level.
What I like most is that our teachers don’t only teach us English. We also talk about how we feel as students, the difficulties we’re facing and our futures. These conversations give us a chance to practise English, share our thoughts and feel more confident talking to others.
After nine months at We Study, the biggest change hasn’t just been what I know about English. It’s how I think about learning. I used to know nothing about English and thought it was far too hard. Now I believe that nothing is impossible if you start in the right way and keep going.
For me, We Study is more than a place to learn English. It’s where I’ve rebuilt my foundation, gained confidence and started believing I can do things I once thought I couldn’t.
